Outstanding IPA. I've been committed to sobriety for 23 years and have explored the gamut of NA beers in the past 5 or 6 years. Without hesitation, I'd say the Double Tasty is at the top of the line of authentic tasting NA beverages. It is reminiscent of Anchor Steam and Sierra Nevada, without the heaviness nor the alcohol. The name is well-deserved, because it is 'double tasty'.

When I cracked this open, I was excited because it smells awesome, just like dry hops. The flavor is decent, but doesn't quite match the aroma. It's a little thin, but that doesn't really detract. Overall, it's a decent drink, the flavor just doesn't quite live up to the aroma.

I love beer - especially a good, old school West Coast IPA. Imagine my consternation when I had to cut out alcohol for a health concern. Enter Bero and my pleasant surprise with my first sip of Double Tasty WCIPA. The hops jumps, floral notes abound and though it doesn’t have quite the same body as some other, alcoholic versions I’ve tried, this is not such as bad thing as it is crisp and completely quality craft-refreshing. What I really like about the BERO beers is that unlike the vast majority of NA beers on the market...these taste and feel like REAL beer...not some skunky , water downed version of a beer. Do to medical reasons, I was forced to give any alcoholic drinks and while I never drank much hard liquor, I LOVE MY BEER !! I had high hopes given the other reviews and the social media presence…however nowhere near close to an alcoholic double IPA, and as far as NA beers go, has a odd taste to it. I grow hops for a local brewery and I might be a “beer snob” as my wife claims, however I can’t see any way a regular IPA drinker would consider this as comparable. The double tasty IPA is pretty average in terms of flavor profile and taste. There is a bit of a weird taste note bordering on medicinal and odd green aroma not reminiscent of hops - almost like grass. Also, there is a pronounced malt flavor which doesn’t fit the IPA style. In comparison, I non-alcoholic IPAs I have had from Sierra Nevada Brewery, Deschutes Brewery and Athletic Brewing Company were much more faithful to the IPA style with none of the weird tasting notes.

I’ve been drinking non-alcoholic beers for a while now and BERO’s new IPA really hits the mark. It has that bold, hoppy flavor I want from a proper IPA, with a clean finish and no weird aftertaste like you get from some other NA options. You’d never guess it’s only 0.4% ABV.
